Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using Bilanceo. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these terms. These terms are effective as of the date you first use the Service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or accessing Bilanceo ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including workspace owners and partners.
2. Description of Service
Bilanceo is a shared expense tracking application that allows two users ("partners") to collaboratively log, track, and analyse their financial transactions within a private workspace. The Service is offered on a free plan and a paid "Bilanceo Plus" plan with additional features and limits, as described within the application. The Service is provided as-is and is intended for personal, non-commercial use.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, including your password and 4-digit PIN. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account, and to complete email verification (by the one-time code or link we send) to activate it — an unverified signup is held temporarily and automatically discarded if not verified. You must use a real, permanent email address — disposable or temporary email services are not permitted. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorised use.
4. Workspace and Partner Access
Each workspace is created by an owner and shared with one partner. The workspace owner is responsible for managing access, including revoking partner access when appropriate. Both users within a workspace have equal ability to add, edit, and view entries. Neither user may share workspace credentials with third parties.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to store unlawful content, attempt to gain unauthorised access to other workspaces or systems, reverse engineer or extract source code from the application, use automated scripts or bots to interact with the Service, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
6. Data and Content
You retain full ownership of the financial data you enter into Bilanceo. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store and process your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. See our Privacy Policy for full details on data handling.
7. Subscriptions, Billing, and Payments
Bilanceo Plus is a paid, auto-renewing subscription available at ₹79/month or ₹699/year (subject to change — see below). We may offer a free trial of Bilanceo Plus to eligible new workspaces; trial length and eligibility are shown at signup and may change at any time. We will notify you before a trial ends, and if you do not subscribe, your workspace automatically returns to the free plan and its limits — you are not charged unless you actively subscribe. Payments are processed by Razorpay, a licensed Indian payment aggregator; Bilanceo never receives or stores your card, UPI, or bank account details. By subscribing, you authorise Razorpay to charge your chosen payment method automatically at the start of each billing cycle until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from Workspace Settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid billing period, and you retain Plus access until then. We do not offer automatic or self-serve refunds — refund requests are reviewed case-by-case at our discretion and can be raised at contact@bilanceo.com. If a renewal payment fails, we may retry the charge, notify you by email, and, if the issue is not resolved, downgrade your workspace to the free plan and its limits; if your workspace has a partner seat, the free plan supports one seat and the partner's access may be paused (their data is preserved, not deleted) until you resubscribe or remove them. We may change subscription pricing or features on a going-forward basis; any price change will be notified in advance and will not affect a billing cycle you have already paid for.
8. Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability of the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience resulting from service downtime.
9. Limitation of Liability
Bilanceo is provided for personal financial tracking purposes only and does not constitute financial, tax, or legal advice. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including any financial decisions made based on data tracked in Bilanceo, or arising from payment processing carried out by Razorpay.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or a notice within the application. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
